Flooring Project – Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge

Check out the amazing transformation of a recent project we’re currently working on at the Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.

We started a project for a builder in early December to carry out some carpet tile work to 3 areas of Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. Our team worked on 3 main areas of the buildings which are:

Compass building – 2 large office areas

Coslett building – 4th-floor reconfiguration work

Science building – large open plan area

The outline of the brief we were given was to cover sub-floor preparation in each of the 3 areas and the install carpet tiles and some safety flooring to a few blocks of toilets. They were looking for a carpet that was suitable for heavy traffic, so they chose a design from our hard-wearing commercial range.

We are still currently working on the second half of Coslett building and are due to start the work in Science building at the end of February

We’ve got a lot of photos of the before and will take photos as we go with the new flooring but we just thought we’d share some images as it gives a really good idea of how different a floor covering can make a room look.

Pictures attached show the before and after of the new tiered lecture theatre!

Superior Finish Contracts Ltd

Each year we get involved with a different local school and offer them free material from our left overs from other projects to aid them in improving the environment the children are learning in.

This year we had the pleasure to refurbish the flooring of Alconbury CE Primary School in Huntingdon.

Usually due to the amounts of each colour we have available at the time of the schools needing it, we often end up creating patterns or features so we can make good use of the smaller amount of odd colours.

In this instance we used 2 greys and created a chess board effect in the classroom - And they loved it!

Check out the amazing feedback we've received from the children and staff!
